If you’re anything like me, you can think of ideas leading up to an event or deadline and then realize 2 days before that you didn’t actually do anything about said ideas. This is what happened with my maternity photo shoot. In my 8th month of pregnancy, I was not about shopping, trying things on or doing much of anything to be honest. The idea of putting makeup on for the actual photo shoot was a stretch. I wanted the perfect dress to be perfectly photographed, maybe with me in it (or maybe not) and call it a day. And thanks to the glorious combo of Amazon Prime & Holy Spirit, that’s exactly what ended up happening – more or less.

The Dress
The dress pictured is Beachcoco Women’s Maternity Comfortable Maxi Tube Dress in Teal Blue, and let me tell you – it was as flattering as flattering could be. Most mamas take their maternity photos around month 6 or so, when the bump is still delightful, adorable, even enjoyable. I was in month EIGHT – my bump was large and in-charge. So my options for looking cute and cuddly were slim to none. But this dress did the trick. I could accentuate the bump when desired, and dial it down if necessary. It had everything I needed – not to mention it was under $30 and could be delivered right to me next day with Amazon Prime (my true other half, sorry Jeffrey).
Photos are courtesy of Sun & Sparrow photography – if you live in Southern California, they’re hands down the best of the best (shameless plug – no affiliate relationship).
And if you’re not into the tube top style dress, take a look at these other options below. They’re all extremely flattering, as you can see from the pictures of real women wearing their purchases in their reviews (a must in my book).
